boys.  There were Cub Scouts in Pack 348, ages 6 to 10, and Boy Scouts in Troop 48, ages 11 to 18.  Our Scouting program includes outdoor activities, worship services, leadership training, group cooperation, community service, and lessons in good citizenship, plus fun and games. Click here to learn more about Troop 48. Click here to learn more about their beliefs.

CHPC Seniors Minimize
Martha's Circle Minimize
Martha Circle consists of a group of women who meet monthly for Bible study and fellowship. Although we have occasionally tackled some very large projects, we usually have small projects each month. We keep in touch with our shut-ins with cards, prayer and monthly visits and assist with any need that arises within our church family. We care deeply about one another and support each other through the close bonds that have developed between circle members. Martha Circle is open to all women and you are invited to visit a meeting and get to know us. We meet on the first Tuesday of each month at 10:00 am in the Parlor. Contact Jane Wright.
Parents of Pre-Schoolers (POPS) Minimize

POPS is a group formed just for parents with young children. Being the parent of a preschool aged child can sometimes be a challenging as it is rewarding. Our group has been designed to create a support setwork for families in similar situations. Whether working full-time or part-time out of the home, or just full time at home, we wanted parents to have a group they could count on for friendship, fellowship or just fun.

Still in the first year of formation, POPs is yet evolving. We are a group of parents (both Moms and Dads are included) who sometimes meet for:

Fun- picnics at the park, potlucks or zoo trips

Playgroups- Different places, times and days

Productivity- event planning, consignment sale, scrapbooking

Drop off the kids for "Date Night"

Any child from birth to Kindergarden is considered a pre-schooler for our purposes, so we have a lot of variety in one group. We try to at least have some event or function each month.

POPs participants do not have to be members of the Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church, nor do they have to agree to a minimum number of activities. We have a web user group for communication purposes and calendar listings and are starting up a newsletter.
